Privacy policy

Effective July 2026

MenuCalories is a static, server-rendered nutrition reference. We do not require accounts, do not store usernames or passwords, and do not maintain a profile of individual visitors. This page describes the limited information we do collect.

What we collect automatically

Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure logs basic request metadata: IP address, requested URL, timestamp, referring URL, and user-agent string. These logs are retained for security and capacity-planning purposes and are not used to build advertising profiles.

Cookies

The MenuCalories application itself does not set first-party cookies. Third-party advertising scripts (when loaded) may set their own cookies. You can manage these via your browser's cookie controls and via the standard industry opt-out at optout.aboutads.info.

Advertising

MenuCalories displays advertisements served by a third-party advertising network. The advertising network may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on prior visits to this site or other sites. The information collected by the advertising network is governed by the network's own privacy policy.

Analytics

If we use analytics, it is in an aggregated and anonymized form intended to count page views and identify popular content — not to identify individual visitors.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your rights

If you believe MenuCalories holds personal information about you and you'd like it removed, contact us via the contact page. Because we do not maintain user accounts, the most common request — account deletion — does not apply, but we will respond to good-faith inquiries.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The "Effective" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
